Completing Phase 1 and the beginning of Phase 2 of the Church Renovation Project
As you know, shortly after moving back into the Church, it will be apparent for a need to complete the Church renovation project. The completion of the Church renovation will ensure that the Church will be completely ready for worship for the next generation of parishioners.
This renovation will consist of primarily these five components.
1) Renovation of the sanctuary and sacristy areas of Church
2) Expansion and renovation of the Church Narthex
3) Electrical and Lighting
4) Audio and Video update
5) Other minor modifications (Outdoor painting, new doors / locks.)
1) SANCTUARY AND SACRISTY: The renovation of the sanctuary and sacristy is to brighten and beautiful the sanctuary area. This can be achieved in several different ways. First, we will be adding an additional concrete step over the entire sanctuary area. This will eliminate the step up and step down that we currently is around the altar. The steps around the tabernacle will also be lessened in width. Their will be hand rails added to either side of the sanctuary. The Crucifix will be elevated and the skylight panels replaced with an Onyx (golden - cream) colored stained glass. Decorative crosses will be added to the wood paneling behind the cross to lighten the area. A toilet will be added in the sacristy and the sacristy spaces will be updated.
2) EXPANDED NARTHEX: The Cry Room and Confessional will be removed and the Narthex would be expanded. A glass door and glass wall would be created on the same line as the current confessional wall. This would provide a much larger narthex and would double for a larger cry room space. Finally, the space would be symmetrical and would provide harmony. A light will be placed above the Baptismal Font and a Confessional would be created in the space currently occupied by the statue of Pope Pius X.
3) ELECTRICAL: After a full Mechanical, Engineering, and Plumbing review - any needed electrical rewiring will occur. There will be additional lighting that will be added as needed.
4) AUDIO/VIDEO: After an acoustical review, there will be a updated audio and video system that will be provided so to maximize the quality of the sound for our Church. This would also provide the means for live video/audio feeds and other AV abilities.
5) OUTSIDE AND OTHERS: A fresh coat of paint on the outside of the Church and any additional updates that will be needed.
