This Sacrament is for all those who are in serious need of healing in their lives. The Church sees that the following people particularly should receive the anointing of the sick.

• The elderly (every 6 months / 1 year).
• Those who are about to have surgery.
• Those just diagnosed with a grave illness.
• The seriously ill or in the hospital.
• Those in nursing homes.
• Those who are preparing for death.

The fruit of the sacrament of the sick is the following:

• Possible physical healing.
• Forgiveness of sins and spiritual healing.
• Greater peace and joy.
• To strengthen during suffering.
• Unity with Jesus Christ.
