Save the Bell TowerOur bell tower has been a symbol of faith and community in Corsicana for generations—but time, weather, and age have left it in need of urgent repair. We’re asking for your support to preserve this sacred and historic part of our church for future generations.
What Needs Repair:- Remove and replace corroded steel plates causing displacement and instability.
- Rebuild upper brick sections, matching the current look and materials.
- Remove and reseal deteriorating mortar joints.
- Apply protective water repellent to the entire structure.
- Replace the shelf angle and restore the steel support framework.
Why This Matters:- The bell tolls daily to mark time, and rings for funerals and major liturgical moments.
- It houses the original bell and speaker system, recently upgraded to play seasonal hymns.
- It is a defining architectural feature of the church—and a spiritual voice for our community.
For over 150 years, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church has stood as a spiritual cornerstone of Corsicana. From our original 1871 foundation to the westward expansion in 1955 and post-tornado restoration in 1965, our parish has weathered many storms—both literal and figurative. Now, we are called once again to care for what we’ve been given.Our bell tower is more than just architecture—it’s a voice. It calls us to Mass, marks sacred moments, and plays the hymns of our faith. But corrosion and time have weakened its structural integrity, making restoration not just important—but necessary.
With your help, we will rebuild the upper brickwork, replace and reinforce the interior steel, and preserve the design we all know and love. This is a once-in-a-generation effort to protect an icon of Catholic life in Navarro County. Whether you give a little or a lot, your support is a legacy of faith.
